How do i get the top cover off of a seagate 120gb laptop hard drive?

i have a hard drive that my IT department has declared dead, but im not satisfied so im going to attempt repairs myself (i have mild experience, and the drive is not overtly valuable so i have no qualms about trying this, for at least the sake of experience if nothing else) but i cant seem to get the top cover off without using sheer force, and id rather not risk making things worse by ripping it off. i was wondering how to remove the top cover efficiently and what tool i would need?
