Getting My First Apartment: When Should I Start Applying and How Many Complexes Should I Apply To?

When you go to look at the units, ask the manager if they normally have units available or is there a waiting list. Base your application process on their answers. I would think that 2 months prior to your move in would be adequate notice to give a start date for January 1st. Good Luck
